Flow velocity measurement, as an important part of flood warning, is significant, but the accuracy of conventional instrument is poor, therefore, a polarity correlation algorithm is present for flow velocity measurement. This paper summarizes the basic principle of correlation method in the flow velocity measurement, and then advances an improved algorithm of polarity correlation method. Then the algorithm analysis and circuit implementation are carried out. The simulation experiments based on the Monte Carlo method show that the polarity correlation algorithm can replace common correlation algorithms on peak point determination. It has good anti-interference function due to the particularity of the algorithm. The comparison of experimental measurement speed with the speed setting by the Monte Carlo method shows that if the two sampling sensor spacing meet certain conditions, the measurement speed and its fitted curve could have a better Goodness of Fit, and the measurement speed can accurately response the speed set by the Monte Carlo method. Which can validate the feasibility of the algorithm and have an accurate measurement on flow velocity.

Abstract ( 106 )   PDF(pc) (1077KB) ( 187 )   Save
In OFDM systems, signals with a large PAPR may bring serious distortions, resulting in dramatic reduction of system BER performance. Tone reservation scheme can reduce the PAPR, but has a high computational complexity, Tone reservation method based on FFT/IFFT can reduce computational complexity, but can’t suppress the PAPR effectively and the lager amplification factor deteriorates BER performance. An improved tone reservation method based on FFT/IFFT is proposed to restrain the high PAPR. The reserved subcarrier’s peak cancelling signal is multiplied by different correction phase sequences and the signal with minimum PAPR among these alternative signals is selected to transmit. Simulation results show that, compared with the original algorithm, the proposed method can provide about 4dB PAPR performance gains with comparable computational complexity.

Abstract ( 71 )   PDF(pc) (16773KB) ( 28 )   Save
The “twin-CME” scenario proposed by Li et al.(2012) which can produce large solar energetic particle (SEP) event more efficiently than the “Single-CME”. Based on “twin-CME” scenario in this paper, spatial characteristics of CME eruptions associated with January 23 2012 extreme SEP event were analyzed, using CME observations detected by coronagraph instruments onboard SOHO/ LASCO and STEREO-A(B)/SECCHI, fitting for CME by GCS model. In this event, the process of CMEs erupting from their source region was checked in low corona, such as the association of type Ⅱ radio bursts detected by Learmonth and BIRS ground stations Wind/WAVES instruments, the associated AIA multi-waveband images on board SDO spacecraft, and HMI magnetogram. The results show that there are two successive CME eruptions associated with this SEP event. These two CMEs have similar propagation direction, and can merge into one large strong CME after certain period of time. The topology of magnetic polarity and eruption process of source region is similar to that of “twin-CME” scenario. The “twin-CME” eruption and the two CMEs mergence may be responsible for generating this extreme large SEP event.

Abstract ( 108 )   PDF(pc) (2328KB) ( 545 )   Save
To explore the influences of ramstam people on opinion dynamics, a modified cellular automaton model is proposed to simulate opinion propagation and evolution by introducing an obstinate strength parameter to represent the preferential original attitude habits of people. The influences of ramstam strength, ramstam people’s occupancy and system size are investigated via numerical simulation. Furthermore, the typical space-time patterns are also discussed in detail. The simulation results show that only the larger ramstam strength and the initial-state approval rate have an important effect on the final-state approval rate and the evolution results of the system, respectively. The larger occupancy for ramstam people is, the smaller the region of two-phase coexistence and the easier to achieve common attitude for people will be. In addition, the final state of the system is completely independent of the system size.

Abstract ( 98 )   PDF(pc) (1172KB) ( 172 )   Save
Based on the idea of behavioral modeling and Tajima model, an extended lattice gas model is proposed to simulate pedestrian evacuation from a hall by considering the pedestrians’ subconscious behaviors under different space environments, which reflect the pedestrians’ preferential direction choice and decision behaviors. The pedestrian dynamics and the evacuation efficiency in different scenarios, such as the sizes of space, the preferential direction strengths of subconscious behavior, different widths of exit, system sizes and pedestrian densities are investigated by computer simulation, respectively. The simulation results show that the presented model can capture some essential features of pedestrian evacuation, e.g., arching phenomenon. Furthermore, the subconscious behavior can effectively improve evacuation efficiency. In addition, the scaling relations of the saturation flow and evacuation time on the width of exit are also obtained.

Abstract ( 168 )   PDF(pc) (853KB) ( 223 )   Save
The proposed approach solves two-dimensional cutting stock problem using three-block patterns and a sequential value correction framework. Cutting patterns in a cutting plan are generated sequentially. Each pattern is used to fulfill some portion of the remaining items until all the required items are fulfilled. The item values are adjusted dynamically to make the value more reasonable. Multiple cutting plans are generated in order to select the optimal one. The three-block patterns are generated by an incomplete enumeration method, in which each pattern contains at most three types of items to simplify the cutting process. The comparison with the linear programming algorithm indicates that the proposed approach can effectively reduce the plate consumption when the item demands are small.

Abstract ( 92 )   PDF(pc) (809KB) ( 189 )   Save
Divergence-free wavelets with tangential boundary plays an important role in numerical simulation of vector fields. In view of the zero boundary and the simple structure of Hardin-Marasovich wavelets, a class of three-dimensional isotropic divergence-free wavelets with tangential boundary are studied. Firstly, based on differential relations of Hardin-Marasovich wavelet functions, it is proved that the bi-orthogonal projection of divergence-free vector fields is still divergence-free. Then, the definition of isotropic divergence-free scale functions are given based on the characterization of divergence-free space, and the corresponding divergence-free scale spaces are proved to form a multiresolution analysis. Finally, the isotropic divergence-free multiwavelets are defined, and the relation between the decomposition coefficients of the divergence-free wavelets and the classical wavelets is given, which shows that the divergence-free decomposition coefficients can be fastly computed.

Inclines are the additively idempotent semirings in which products are less than or equal to factors. They generalize Boolean algebra, fuzzy algebra and distributive lattice. This paper defines that the perimeter of rank-1 matrices over inclines is the sum of nonzero elements of its left and right factors, and proves the inequality about the perimeter of the sum of rank-1 matrices over inclines and gives the preserving operators of rank-1 matrices over inclines. The results in the present paper generalize and develop correlated results over Boolean matrices and fuzzy matrices.

2-(3,4-Methylenedioxyphenyl)ethylamine and 2-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzaldehyde were selected to synthesize a new Schiff base (L) as bioactive ligand. The reaction of L with ZnCl2·2H2O afforded the binuclear zinc(Ⅱ) complex (1), which was structurally characterized by IR, elemental analysis, ESI-MS, and single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The in vitro cytotoxicity of 1against six human tumor cell lines (A549, MDA-MB-231, HeLa229, MGC80-3, A375, BEL-7404) and HL-7702 normal liver cell line was screened by MTT assay. The growth inhibition ratios of 1were found to be higher than those of L against all the tumor cell lines, but lower than those of cisplatin. However, the cytotoxicity of 1against HL-7702 was much lower than those of cisplatin, suggesting the cytotoxic selectivity of 1. On the molecular level, the DNA binding property of 1as well as L was studied by fluorescence spectroscopy and gel electrophoresis assay. The results indicated that complex 1intercalatively bound with DNA, while the intercalative binding ability of L was very weak. It may be ascribed to the much more rigid aromatic planar structure of 1than L, which will facilitate the intercalative binding of 1with DNA to effectively block the DNA replications in tumor cells, and higher antitumor activity of 1can be obtained than L.

Abstract ( 185 )   PDF(pc) (4723KB) ( 479 )   Save
A combined equipment scrubbing cooking fumes was employed and thermal desorption and GC-MS were used to analyze the organic components in cooking fumes. The results showed that the main pollutants of cooking fumes were acrolein, octanone and octanal, and their relative intensity were 100, 70 and 85, respectively. Simulated cooking fumes was washed by water, activated sludge and AC-activated sludge, and the results showed that the removed efficiency of the combined equipment scrubbing cooking fumes was good. The mass spectrographic peaks at outlet was obviously less than inlet of the device, and the chromatographic peak area was clearly decreased. It was found that the device could remove most of the matter from the cooking fumes, and ideal effects were achieved. When the flow of cooking fumes was 1.6 m3/h, the temperature of waste oil heated was 160 ℃, the washing liquid volume was 20 L, the device runs 9 hours every day and runs for 22 days, the removal efficiency were 49.6%, 66.2% and 83.5%, respectively when washed by water, activated sludge and AC-activated sludge. The purifying efficiency of AC-activated sludge was better than water and activated sludge due to the absorption of AC and the excellent microbial degradation on cooking fumes.

Sugarcane is one of the world’s most important sugar crops. Sugarcane biological nitrogen fixation is a good way to reduce the amount of nitrogen fertilizer costs in the plantation management. In this study, in order to investigate the effects of nitrogen-fixing bacteria on the nitrate, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium content of different sugarcane varieties during the growth process, the nitrogen-fixing bacteria DX120 (A), nitrogen-fixing bacteria 296 (B) and Azospirillum spp. (C) were used to inoculate the planted sugarcane varieties ROC22 and B8 in the barrel. The main results show that the contrast of nitrate in the leaves inoculated nitrogen-fixing bacteria were higher than those of the control from August to November, but lower than those of the fertilizer treatments. The content of nitrate in CK and fertilizer treatments decreased greatly compared with the nitrogen-fixing bacteria treatments. As to the ROC22, the N content of A and AB treatment group were higher than the others, but to the B8, A, C and AC treatment effects on nitrogen content were obviously; The P content of two sugarcane cultivars inoculated nitrogen-fixing bacteria were higher than those of CK, but lower than those of the fertilizer treatment. The effects of single and multiple combinations of nitrogen-fixing bacteria treatment on the potassium content of the two sugarcane varieties were not obvious. The experiment results were useful for further application of nitrogen-fixing bacteria in sugarcane planting.

Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzicola (Xoc) is an important plant pathogen, which caused rice bacterial leaf blight and seriously decreased the production of rice. A mutation in putative udgH gene of Xoc leads to serious weakening on extracellular polysaccharide production and virulence, and lower extracellular amylase and cellulase activity. The phenotype of complementary strain can be restored to wild-type levels, while virulence only by 80%, and the extracellular polysaccharide production of high expression strain is increased, while the virulence is decreased. The research laid solid foundation for further study the role of the gene in extracellular polysaccharide metabolic pathways of Xoc, and provided a feasible method for constructing high-yielding strains of xanthan gum useing genetic engineering.

Abstract ( 120 )   PDF(pc) (776KB) ( 167 )   Save
To analyze a reasonable cut-off value of serum AFP in hepatic cancer diagnosis, 35 cases of hepatic cancer patients and 35 healthy people were chosen as the samples. Electrochemiluminescence immunoassay (ECLIA) and enzyme-1inked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) are used to collect serum samples and analyze AFP levels. SPSS 18.0 software was used for statistical analysis. The correlation coefficient is 0.978, showing the results by ECLIA were significantly correlated to those by ELISA. They had no significant difference, P>0.05. The area under the ROC curve was 0.890, 0.880 respectively by these two methods. The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy were 74.3%, 94.3%, 84.3% by ECLIA if taking 3.25 μg/L as cut-off value and 62.9%, 100%, 81.4% by ELISA if taking 1.118 μg/L as cut-off value. Whereas if taking 20 μg/L as cut-off value, the sensitivity and accuracy were only 45.7%, 72.9% by ECLIA and 48.6%, 74.3% by ELISA. So decreasing cut-off value of serum AFP can improve the diagnosis value of hepatic cancer effectively.

To explore the effects and its mechanism of different intensity exercise on atherosclerosis (AS) formation in Rats fed with high fat diet for short cycle,50 rown male SD rats were randomly divided into normal control group (group N),high fat diet group (group H),high intensity exercise group (group Hh),moderate intensity exercise group (group Hm), and low intensity exercise group (group Hl). Observe whether the thoracic aorta AS lesions existed in rats, analyze AS incidence and AS plaque area, and detect serum TC,TG,LDL-C, HDL-C and SOD, MDA and ox-LDL indexs. The results show that serum TC, LDL-C,MDA and ox-LDL levels increased significantly in rats fed with high fat diet for six weeks, and AS incidence increased significantly, comparing with group H. TC and LDL-C levels decreased significantly in group Hh,group Hm and group Hl,HDL-C level increased significantly in group Hl.In Group Hh, group Hm, group Hl,MDA levels were significantly lower than those of group H,but SOD activity was not increased apparently in group Hl.In group Hl,ox-LDL level and AS plaque area percentage were significantly lower than that of group H. It draw a conclusion that high fat diet for 6 weeks causing dyslipidemia, free radical metabolism increased, and the increase in LDL oxidation modification led to mild AS. To regulating blood fat, effect of low intensity exercise is the best,so low intensity exercise can control the reaction of LDL oxidative modification and strengthen the role of anti AS formation.
