Synthesis and Crystal Structure of Phenanthroline-Cysteic Acid Cobalt(Ⅱ) Ternary Complex

Abstract: A ternary complex [CoL(phen)2]H2O (L=L-sulfosalicylic alanine,phen=1,10-phenanthro-line) was synthesized with metal cobalt(Ⅱ) salts and L-cysteic acid and phenanthroline.The structure of the complex was characterized by infrared spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction.The crystal structure shows that its space group is P2(1)/c,and unit cell parametersare:a=1.042 44(11) nm,b=1.560 74(14) nm,c=1.676 03(19) nm,β=90.425(7)°,z=4,the final factor R1=0.148 2,wR2=0.282 7.In the complex the central metal ions exhibit distorted octahedral geometries.
