Age Structure and Spatial Pattern of Camellia flavida in Nonggang

Abstract: Camellia flavida, one of the Camellia species with yellow flower, is an ornamental species. The age structure, spatial pattern and spatial correlation between three life stages of C. flavida using g(r) function were studied within NG (300 m×500 m) and CS (100 m×100 m) plots in Nonggang National Nature Reserve. The results showed that the age structure of C. flavida was approximately normal distribution and approximately inverted “J” type in NG plot in CS plot, respectively. The aggregated distribution spatial pattern of C. flavida was 24 m and 35 m in the NG plot and CS plot, respectively. Besides, the degree of aggregation in NG plot was significantly larger than the latter. The spatial correlation between three life stages of C. flavida was similar in the same plot and significantly positive correlated within 24 m in two plots.
