Abstract: Formicidae specimens were collected systematically and trimmed in Jigong Mountain Nature Reserve, Henan Province. More than 500 specimens were collected. 63 species belonging to 25 genera of 5 subfamilias were identified, and among them 5 species unnamed. In order to make an accurate analysis, 58 identified species were used. The analytical result shows that Myrmicinae and Formicinae are dominant subfamilies in the nature reserve. According to the fauna analysis, there were 3 distribution patterns in the world ant geographic fauna distribution, and 19 distribution patterns in Chinese insects geographic fauna. The Formicidae fauna in the nature reserve has a typical Oriental character, and has the closest relationship with North China, Central China, South China and Southwest China than others.

Key words: Formicidae, fuana, Jigong Mountain Nature Reserve, Henan Province
