Faunal Analysis of Ant of Guangxi Chongzuo White-headed Langur Nature Reserve, China

Abstract: The specimens of Guangxi Chongzuo White-headed Langur Nature Reserve were collected with line transect method and litters screening method, 98 species belonged to 52 genera of 8 subfamilies of Formicidae. Among them 4 species were new records to Guangxi. Faunal analysis of species components suggested that: in zoogeographical region of the world, the ant fauna of the Reserve has typical characteristics of oriental region. Oriental and Palaearctic regions have the highest ratio, so the ant fauna of the Reserve is closest to the Palaearctic region, and farthest to the Neotropical region. In the zoogeographical regions of china, the ant fauna of the Reserve has typical South China characteristics. South, Southwest and Central China regions have the highest ratio, so it is closely related to the Central and Southwest China regions.
