Statistical Analysis of Partially Accelerated Life Tests under Dependent Competing Risks

Abstract: In the step stress partially accelerated life test (SSPALT) with Type-I progressive hybrid censoring (Type-I PHC) scheme, the statistical inference of a dependent two component system with masked data are studied. When the component life follows exponential distribution, the tampered random variable (TRV) model and copula function are used to construct the dependent competing risks model. Based on the maximum likelihood theory, the maximum likelihood of unknown parameters is established, and the corresponding confidence interval estimation of the parameters is provided through asymptotic likelihood theory and bootstrap method. Finally, the feasibility of the proposed estimation method is verified by Monte-Carlo method. The results show that the method is feasible and effective for reliability analysis of dependent masked data systems.
