Abstract: Combining the radial basis function (RBF) approach, the accuracy and predictivepower of some global nuclear mass models are significantly improved. The root-mean-square deviation between the experimental data for 2 149 known masses and predictions from four models falls to ~200 keV.The leave-one-out cross validationand AME03-11 tests show that the RBF approach is a very powerful and useful toolfor further improving the reliability of mass models. The RBF corrections for some global nuclear mass models are also presented, which is helpful for evaluating model errors and improving model accuracy.
