Inhibitory Effect of Biocontrol Bacterium 2016NX1 on Plant Pathogenic Fungi and Optimization of Fermentation Conditions

Abstract: Plate confrontation method and venomous plate method were used to test Pseudomonas aeruginosa 2016NX1 bacteriostatic activity against 9 plant pathogenic fungi, such as, Exserohilum turcicumum, Ceratocystis paradoxaanus, Alternaria citriella, Colletotrichum capsicius, and Cochliobolus miyabeanus, etc. The results showed that 2016NX1 as well as its fermentation product (blue pigment) showed perfect inhibitory effect on the growth of target pathogenic fungi. The fermentation conditions of 2016NX1 were optimized by single factor test and orthogonal test, and the optimum fermentation conditions were as follows:inoculation dose 2%, rotating speed of shaking bed 100 r/min, and temperature 37 ℃.
