Chemical Constituents from Fruit of Dimocarpus longan

Abstract

Abstract: Twelve compounds were isolated from fruit of Dimocarpus longan Lour. They were identified by physicochemical properties and spectral analyses as stigmasteryl stearate, α-amyrinpalmitate, hexadceanoic triglyceride, 3-capryloxytetradecanoic acid tetradecyl ester, myristin, 1,3-dimyristin, β-sitosterol, monomyristin, lauric acid, β-daucosterol, sucrose, and caprolactam. Among them, stigmasteryl stearate, α-amyrinpalmitate, hexadceanoic triglyc-eride, 3-capryloxytetradecanoic acid tetradecyl ester, myristin, 1,3-dimyristin, monomyristin, lauric acid, and caprolactam were isolated from this plant for the first time.
